"The British Prime Minister Theresa May’s gamble in calling an early election spectacularly failed on Thursday night, when she lost her majority in parliament and was forced to turn to a deal with a smaller party to stay in power. May’s attempt to forge a deal with Northern Ireland’s Democratic Unionist party does not put Brexit in doubt, although negotiations – due to may now be even more complex and less predictable. PM to ask Queen’s permission to form government following election that resulted in hung parliament and surge in support for Labour.
The prime minister went to see the Queen on Friday to confirm that she would form a government and that she was seeking a deal with the DUP, following extensive talks through the night with the unionists, the largest party in favour of British rule in Northern Ireland. “I will now form a government, a government that can provide certainty and lead Britain forward at this critical time for our country,” she said.
“This government will guide the country through the crucial Brexit talks that begin in just 10 days and deliver on the will of the British people by taking the United Kingdom out of the European Union.” She added: “We will continue to work with our friends and allies in the Democratic Unionist party in particular.”

Bring it On? Oh I like this :-)
"Good morning, Rebess -- you slow witted, caricature adhering, belly dragger. Whenever it was you slithered out of your stinking pit of ignorance, it clearly escaped your stultified brain to consider that, as an American institution, any ex GS functionaries of European descent, are most likely little more than 'diversity' appointees. As such, as EU apparatchiks they're hardly likely to bother intellectual heavyweights like Mrs 345 (aka Amber Rudd).
No. Rather than simply negotiate with the legislative chamber that makes up the appointed members of the European Commission, we will find ourselves up against not only the fully elected European Parliament, but the career politicians of the Council of the EU - all of whom tend to be Foreign Secretaries of their respective countries (yay! Go team bumble b!) And if that wasn't tricky enough, we can look forward askance when the foppish fella faces down the heads of states themselves who comprise the European Council. Or maybe that'll be better left to Cruella herself in her well worn Dalmatian print Havaianas.
"Un-elected" my arse. The un-electeds that are responsible for this sorry affair, are the self-serving multi-millionaire oiks like Stuart Wheeler and Aron Banks whose wealth bankrolled - and insulates them completely - from the votes of the millions of useful idiots like you who blindly did their bidding.
The only muddy waters are those in the pond that you and your ignorant, bigoted ilk should slide back into. Good of you to confirm you don't have a clue though."
Indeed.
"But the Tories seem keen to make sure the visit goes ahead and the relationship with the US remains as strong as possible as Britain cuts its ties with the EU. “A free and independent Britain is a blessing to the world, and our relationship has never been stronger,” Trump told May during that visit to Washington. But May herself has never looked weaker."
Oh Contraire ...
"“I think it’s pretty clear who won this election,” Corbyn told the BBC. “We’re ready to serve the people who have given their trust to us.” Erm ... The Tories won. Back up? Mind had the LP had a serious leader they could have won.
Now where did all those Kippers flock to? Back to the LP Camp.... wake up and smell the roses.
Little Englanders. JC the 'patriarchal' does not deliver on fairness & equality. Once again Corbyn has failed, against all odds mind, (events) stacked in his favour.

Proportional Representation. Well said :
"It wasn't the labour voters that caused this, the source of all this chaos is and always was... the Brexit voters, many STILL too proud to admit their gullibility and poor judgement, a good Brexit deal will not happen, we will either crash out or stay in, I think and fear because of the "will of the people" mentality stuck on infinite insane and inane loop, there's a possibility it will be the former, I look forward (with dread) to discussing on this forum in years to come (assuming we can still afford the Internet) what Brexit did to the uk, can't believe the tories having called the referendum for political gain then called an election for political gain are now getting into bed with the DUP for political gain - god only knows what that will do with the Northern Ireland peace process they're screwing th country again for political gain!, I'm glad none of this is on my conscience, just a pity I'll have to live with the consequences along with the Bridiots that voted for this complete cluster***k"

Mind it did occur that shoud the May 'Witchhunt' continue would she step aside and let the Corbyn Cobblers take over? Alternatives.
Stark choices. Them or Us. S'pose it would be far too radical for the Reds & Blues to form a coalition ... mind they did that last year. That was the deal?
